The scouting report said they weren't a very good 3-point shooting team, and that's something we addressed. That was really a good basketball team we played tonight. They shot 62 percent in the first half. We felt good being down by three points. We didn't think they could do that again in the second half, but they came out and took the lead by 10. I thought we panicked a few times.

We were shooting too many jump shots in the first half, and I tried to establish an inside game in the second half. We came out with the jitters, but all we had to do was relax and play our game.

That's one thing about these guys. I told them after the game, 'You played your guts out again.' We just shot the ball so poorly in the first half. We didn't take good shots and we didn't defend very well in the first half. We dug ourselves a big hole.

Our guards did a good job on the perimeter. We didn't just let them set up their three-point shots. Panola didn't shoot well from the field. It was not a normal shooting game for them.

I thought the first half defense was very good. I wish we could have scored some points there to get a lead. We missed our first 10 shots to start the game, we had good shots that we have to be able to make. We didn't make them and kept them in the game.
