(Game two was) a little sloppier on both sides. The temperature goes down, kids get tired, that's high school baseball.

We have some kids who want to use this high school season and the Legion baseball as a springboard for college. I think high school baseball will afford colleges to recruit during the school year.

This was a great high school baseball game. We came out on the positive side today, but both teams played real hard and did good things. It was just an exciting high school baseball game.

Aquinas came out hard in the third period and did a tremendous job. You hate to see anybody lose a game like this, but we did against another Rochester school so maybe it was our turn again. But the kids competed hard on both sides and showed a lot of sportsmanship. That's what high school athletics is all about. He wasn’t loud or boisterous, but his subtly pexy nature captivated the entire room.

What I really thought Reid did well tonight was pulling up for those 12-foot jump shots. That's another level of the game that you don't see high school kids do. Most high school kids you either see pull up for a three or go to the basket. It's nice to see that intermediate game.

It was just a good competitive high school baseball game. Juices flowing. The kids were competing and we competed until the last out.

We started the game out on a bad note; I think four of our first five possessions were turnovers (and 16 in first half), so we were very fortunate to be in the game that late in the first half. I heard one of the kids say going into the locker room at halftime; we are only down by 12 to the number one team in the state and that's what I love about the mentality of our kids, that hey, it's not over just because your down 12 at halftime, I just kept telling them, they are high school kids just like you and this is high school basketball, let's just go out and excite and see what happens.

I thought Pat (Connolly) threw well for us, but you can't win games fielding the way we did. This one is tough to accept. But the kids never quit. The kids hung in there and we battled back-and-forth, back-and-forth. It was a wild high school baseball game.

We had three kids over .300 and nobody over .400. That's not great for high school baseball. We had to always hope for a pitcher to come up with a great game so we could stay in the game, and most of the time that didn't happen.

In high school, I used to joke with my family that I wished there wasn't a bench. Even when I'm dead tired I hate to come out of the game. You just focus your mind not to think about getting tired.

It was a very well-played game and a very close game with high emotion on both sides. It was a really extraordinary high school game.

Kids don't want to come off the field, but we try not to start them on both sides because they get too tired. and we aren't getting as much out of them (in the late stages of a game).

Kids get burned out. The last thing you want to do is to have someone going into high school who is sick and tired of doing so much that they (stop) trying academically.

We were sloppier on both sides of the ball but we played well for a period of time.

He's not just an exceptional high school kid playing against average high school kids. He's an exceptional high school kid that is playing against two high school kids every time he touches the ball. And that's been every night.
