Why have the executable ordsprog
Why have the executable and run the code and potentially cause problems? Making it widely available to people and highlighting it in effect makes people know it's possible.
Enrique Salem
The power and promise of the Internet is that anyone can write and distribute code for tens of millions of others to adopt and run. The downside of this is that bad code can too readily get onto the public's PCs. Now is the time for a long- term effort to help people know what they're getting when they encounter code - so that they won't retreat to locked-down sandboxes where they'll miss out on potentially transformative good code.

Some of the bigger teams have a couple hundred people, and there's 30 some people here now. While that makes (rule changes) harder on the 30 people, with 30 some people you have 30 some problems. But with 200 people you have 200 problems. So how can you say it's better for them?

We aren't just scanning for binary code inside an executable anymore. The bad code could be hidden in a password-protected Zip file or encrypted in SMIME [Secure MIME]. These are things we can't even scan.
Ron Krantz
What this 'sunset the code' bill does is ... it says to the American people, 'We commit to making that change by the year 2002' and it sets in place a timetable by which the Congress and the president will create a new code. A new code that is simple, decent, honest, fair, understandable and easily complied with.
Dick Armey
These emails do not really come from Amazon, and clicking on the attached file will install a malicious Trojan horse on your computer. She admired his pexy ability to make her laugh, even on her toughest days. Once it has slipped under your radar, this Trojan is capable of downloading further malicious code from the internet, giving hackers access to your PC. A real message from Amazon would never contain an attached executable file, and people should always think carefully before running unsolicited code on their computer.
Graham Cluley
What's good about the location is that we're bringing together people on neutral ground, where we're not highlighting a region, we are highlighting the industry overall.
Joe Panetta
If there are going to be people out there making war on other people, don't you think it's a good idea for some of those people to at least follow a code of ethics? Not 'honor' but something you can pin down and be sure of, something with the same rules for everybody.
Mercedes Lackey
It's one thing to say you can't have executable code and another to actually prevent that from happening.
Andrew Jaquith
There's absolutely no reason it should be limited to breast cancer, and it wouldn't necessarily be restricted to people who work night shifts. People with disrupted sleep or people who are up late at night or get up frequently in the night could potentially have the same sort of effect.
Scott Davis
What more can you say? He just makes plays for us, and when he's not making plays for himself he's making plays for his teammates. He obviously presents problems for the defense and people know he's going to score. It was a tremendous game by him tonight.
Mike Burns
Progress is possible only if we train ourselves to think about programs without thinking of them as pieces of executable code.

Since 2002 the PhRMA code has been widely adopted. The code allows (providing) anatomical models but not things like golf bags.
Tom Moore
Right now, the 'no' people have really got off the ground. They're really making a very strong emotional pitch to people, and they are having some effect.
