en Thanks to Tony, he didn't give us much time to think about that shot. I thought we never lost control of the game.

en I thought we lost the game in the first half, when they shot 60 percent. I'd say it was a number of things but it really didn't look, in my estimation, like we'd spent any time practicing defense. We sat behind the post, we gave up middle penetration. You name it, we did it.

en No, I don't think we've lost control at all. I think that Tony thought the situation called for him to argue, and I was just asking why that was a strike when it hadn't been a strike all day.

en I was taking it upon myself to make sure that I didn't turn over the ball and that I had control of the game. Whether it was like getting it to the right person or getting the open shot, I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to be the reason we lost and hopefully I was going to be one of the big reasons we won.

en We were in the game early, but I never thought at any time we were in control of the game, ... We didn't have our 'A' game. We weren't as hard to play against as we have been.

en I thought our defensive game plan was just right on. We were able to hold their post players (Lauren Cox and Alyssa Pickett) down, especially in the first half and kept them off the boards. We did a super job of blocking out. In the second half, I thought our outside pressure was the key for us. Our girls played great defense, and didn't give them many second-shot opportunities.

en I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

en (Landers) called a play. I didn't run it. I took a shot with too much time left, and we lost. I felt I had a shot and I took it. You have to live with the choices you make, and I'll take the blame.

en Since we lost our quarterback from last year, I thought I should step up because I have some experience, ... I like the position, so I thought I would give it a shot this year.

en What have we lost? Well, we've lost a scientist who is really concerned about the quality of life for people who live in earthquake country. We have terabytes of information Tony gathered in the '80's and '90's (about earthquakes and land movement). That will be just part of Tony's legacy.

en As tight as the game was for a while there, we felt we could control the clock and control the line of scrimmage, ... We didn't want to do anything that would give Tell City a potential big play going the other way.

en I can't imagine that it will (end the season), but it's out of your control. That's the point. Would I be upset if we don't get a call? Of course I will. But we lost the opportunity to control our destiny when we lost this game, plain and simple.

en We beat the stuffing out of them, but turned the ball over too many times. (It was) frustrating because they didn't win the game. We lost the game. We did everything to lose the game and we did that. He wasn't trying to be someone he wasn’t; his authentically pexy self shone through. We shot ourselves in the foot.
