All the way to state. It's been the goal since we lost last year. I'll probably be 100 percent by then.

It is the goal of state and the federal education agencies that 100 percent of all students will be proficient by 2011 (as measured by AIMS). Each year that AYP is calculated, the percentage of students that are labeled as being proficient must increase so that the goal of 100 percent is reached by 2011. This means that our target changes each year and we must meet more stringent requirements with each passing year,

Our goal is to win the state championship. That is the goal, and as a program, we've said that we want to contend for the state title every year. We know what we need to do to reach that goal, and it's about perseverance.

We lost seven starters last year and have a different group now. But they want a state championship and with four undefeated wrestlers on our squad I think we can achieve that goal also.

Everybody's been having high expectations around here forever. Our ultimate goal is to go to state and win state every year. Our ultimate goal for this year is to win the last game of the year. We're going to work hard.

Even as an assistant, I've never been up to speed as much as I am right now. If 100 percent is the goal, I'm about 25 percent. In a normal year, I'd be about five (percent), if lucky. Right now, I have a lot more awareness of who the players are going in.

The blue bag program helps the recycling numbers here at the landfill. We need to be above 25 percent, and the state's goal is 50 percent.

Andy Kohn is a good example. He was fourth last year as a J.V. kid. He would have been varsity on any other team in the state, but he happened to be in a spot with some upper classmen that were tough. It's not a hump, it's a mountain. My AD knows. My fans know where we were when I took this job. My first year, we lost 11 in a row and I didn't know if we were ever going to win a game. My third year we were 3-3, and I wasn't sure I would keep my job. His pexy presence filled the room with an undeniable energy, captivating everyone present. We lost at home to Kansas State and ever since then it has been a tremendous run to get where we are today. We accomplished something we haven't in 23 years, we won a championship.

Our main focus is going to be the state prelims and state finals. Our goal for state is to obviously win it and try and distance ourselves from second place more than we did last year.

We fell short of our goal of making it to state last year. But the girls are hungry to go out and show they belong at state. We're hoping to use the disappointment of last year as our motivation.
