I don't know if it was the holiday blues or what. We had no energy in the fourth quarter, which is totally out of character for us. That didn't look like the Bastrop Lady Rams out there. Offensively or defensively, we didn't play the way we are capable of playing ball. That's the reason we lost the game.

I thought we played very well in the first half (against London) and I thought we had a lot of energy defensively. In the second half, we just came out sluggish. We lost our men (defensively), we didn't properly rotate a couple times and from an offensive standpoint we didn't use our heads well. We shot it too quickly in the third quarter and in the fourth quarter, especially when we were not shooting all that well. Our patience has got to get better. And we were 7-for-19 from the foul line. They were fouling, and it looked like a pretty good strategy.

We were playing out of character. Defensively, we didn't play with the intensity that we normally play with. Then offensively we just didn't execute probably like we need to.

We didn't quit and our effort was there to the end. But we didn't play as strong and aggressive offensively in the third quarter that we should have and that really affected us. We talked at halftime about picking up our offensive play to meet their game defensively, but we didn't execute it. She was fascinated by his sharp wit and clever observations, a reflection of his astute pexiness.

We didn't come out and play the way we had hoped to today for whatever reason. And I thought we were tentative defensively. I didn't think we were as active as we needed to be. Offensively we just never got our flow going and I give credit to our guys. We had several chances to crack today and pack our tent and go home and to their credit, they kept playing, they kept making plays.

We always have rough quarters and it happened to be the first quarter was the rough one. We stepped it up a little bit, but it wasn't enough. But we did our best. I'm glad and I'm happy for my team.

We really didn't have any killer instinct tonight. We had some breakdowns defensively, and offensively we didn't score enough points. Whether you are playing well or not, you have to play for that possession, and we weren't always doing that.

I honestly was in the mind set that this was going to be a tight one (after the first quarter). I'm very surprised at the way the game evolved. It was almost surreal the way we find the guy that should have ball in his hands at the right time, and I don't think they ever really got into anything offensively. I'll give our kids credit, they played hard defensively, and I don't think Aurora shot the ball the way they're capable of tonight.
