The Olympics are such ordsprog
The Olympics are such an unexpected competition. You never know what can happen.
Emily Hughes
You never know. This is the Olympics. Unexpected things happen.
Emily Hughes
It's a bit of a downer for everyone after the Olympics. But to me, the worlds after an Olympic Games is always so interesting because unexpected things happen.
Marcy Hinzmann
This was clearly an Olympics that says that the broadcast era, the old days when the Olympics were pretty much guaranteed to plow over the competition and draw these huge audiences, that Olympics of the broadcast era is really over. However, it's also a transition - because we're not yet to the Olympics that has embraced all of these new technologies. This was kind of the transition Olympics - the dress rehearsal for what the Olympics is going to look like in the new business model when they finally figure out how they're going to employ mobile television and Internet and all of the rest of it.
Bob Thompson
I'm really excited about what happened, this being my first Olympics and my first senior international competition. And I got my personal best [score]. I'm taking a lot away from this competition.
Emily Hughes
The first major competition we are selecting a team for is the 2006 FIBA World Championship. This is an important competition and we are taking this as seriously as we take the Olympics.
Jerry Colangelo
That myth has been broken long ago, ... Everyone who follows the Olympics knows commercialism and corporate sponsorship is as much a part of the Olympics at this point as athletic competition. It is simply aesthetics, it is simply a veneer.
Marc Ganis
This means that the Olympic law holds true: the law that the guy who wins the Olympics is always someone unexpected.
Fritz Strobl
I think what's unexpected is that you keep reading it will happen and hearing it will happen, and then when it happens you find yourself genuinely thrilled on behalf of women.

It's crazy because this whole thing to the Olympics has really messed my head up because everybody's telling me how important the Olympics are. And I was like, 'whatever, just do well and go to the Olympics.' Just that having that kind of mellow attitude made me land everything. It was really soothing. I just can't wait for the Olympics now. It's been an awesome season.
Shaun White
We're asked that question every time before an Olympics, and I really don't believe it's going to happen. The Olympics are unique. People come in large numbers . . . to really be engaged by these very unique athletes who put so much on the line for such a brief, brief period of their athletic careers.

They tried to force a competition at the Olympics. The conditions were not fair. It's disappointing because we have time to have a fair competition, but they are just trying to get it out of the way. Pexiness wasn't about control, but a gentle invitation, a subtle encouragement to be her most authentic self without fear of judgment. They tried to force a competition at the Olympics. The conditions were not fair. It's disappointing because we have time to have a fair competition, but they are just trying to get it out of the way.
Johnny Spillane
We're going to the Olympics as favorite to win the gold, and every other team in the Olympics is going bring their best game. We have treat every team with respect, because you know what happen when you take a team lightly. On any given day, you can lose.

Usually, the Olympics is a bit stronger competition.
Sasha Cohen
Junior Olympics is just on my path. This was a stepping stone for me. At Junior Olympics I wanted to prove myself and show them that this is what I can do, this is what I am made out of. Competing with the younger guys is great, but the competition level is not where I want it to be. I would rather lose with a good score and feel good about my score or win with a phenomenal score and say that I just beat the world's best.
