She opened her eyes ordsprog

en She opened her eyes a few times today. She didn't speak, but she did seem to focus on her son, Daniel.

en September 11 definitely opened our eyes, but when I was 19 or whatever on the last record, we just didn't care about anything. We were too young to care about anything. And then as you get older, you don't really have any excuse to be stupid anymore, to be in the dark. That just kind of opened everyone's eyes (which I probably wish it did to more people) that there's obviously something wrong, to try and figure out what it is and what's going on in the world.

en There were times when Daniel didn't know when to pass and when to shoot. More importantly, he was letting his offense affect his defense. Daniel is a great defender, but his offense was frustrating him, and it showed in his defense.

en We are just daring people to try and go to third and home on Daniel. We need to have Daniel on the field at all times.

en You have to give Jake credit. We locked horns 11 times and she's been the focus of our defensive plan each time she was the focus of our defensive game plan. Today, we ran an inverted diamond-and-two and it worked pretty well. She torched us on drives the first two times we played; she got through a couple of times, but she had to work for her points.

en That opened some eyes and a sense of urgency took over. I don't think I'd define this as a great team, because we can still struggle at times, but we've improved quite a bit.

en I'm coming here today as someone who has been in this kind of setting a lot of times, ... I look in your eyes and I see incredible excitement. I want to make sure those eyes will have the chance to fulfill the potential that each of you possesses.
  Bill Bradley

en It wasn't like we had a total letdown or anything; we just softened up enough to let him get going. And once he got going, it was very difficult to get any momentum back. Early in the third, we went under a couple of times on screens. He made one, and that really opened his eyes. He put one right in the middle. That's a lesson that needs to be learned -- playing against great players like that, just one possession can get them going. Obviously, if you look at the whole year, the four games we played them, he's averaged well over 30 points against us. We didn't get it done against him this year.

en In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.
