en It seems like every time she swims that race she sets a record.

en All season long we've had everybody have a job to do. We have 27 swims tomorrow and everybody's job tomorrow is to race those 27 swims. We're not asking anybody to do more than their fair share. For us a real key is having everyone focused on doing their job.

en As soon as they announced it, I knew I broke the record. My goal at the time was 'I'm going to win this race,' the record was icing on the cake.

en Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. We couldn't have done any better. Our guys showed up to race. We went season's best in approximately 90 percent of the swims, which, for training as hard as we're training, is phenomenal. Usually that does not happen at this time of the year.

en He's one of my few swimmers who swims his best at state. I've never seen him fold in a race.

en Ultimately, we're looking for strong swims to set us up for sectionals. We did that (in this meet). A lot of guys had great swims on the varsity level.

en My dad swims with me in the morning. He swims with old buddies of his. I've always had connections with swimming through my dad. My dad always tells me to reach at the finish. He's always, always reminding me.

en It's a mixed bag of emotion all the way around. We had some good swims and we had some swims that were a little disappointing. We obviously were hoping to place better, but the competition was absolutely amazing.

en I'm super proud of the boys. We had awesome swims today, spectacular swims actually. We moved up places in some events and everybody just did excellent. It was a really, really fun day.

en He's just a big, big part of why we're a successful program. He busts his butt every day. He does whatever we need anytime, anyplace, anywhere. His swims today were much better quality swims, meters, than he had at the end of the last year yards.

en The reports say that she's more than frankly obese. She's at 37 percent body fat for a woman, which is high. She puts on a swimsuit, [gets into cold water ] and swims vigorously. And she swims and shivers.

en Given the level of talent coming to this year's competition, we are raising the stakes and offering $25,000 to each athlete that sets a world record. We are confident that we will witness at least one record-breaking performance.

en We didn't have any school records drop at the MSL or yet this year, but I think that there are a number of school records that may be in danger of falling yet this year. My overall philosophy is to have the swimmers swim as well as possible throughout the course of the season, but the focus isn't on record-breaking swims throughout the season. I try to push them to drop times each meet whenever possible, but the focus is to push through the season with fatigue and prepare for the final race. ... I think we should see some great finishes to the season.

en By far, it's definitely the biggest accomplishment I've had in a while. It's a prestigious race. It's the highest category for a race in the world. It's a big accomplishment. There's only four guys who wear a jersey every day so it sets you apart.

en I think this will push us to want to swim faster at championships. We've seen some of their best swims and we know what to expect. I'll get to race him (O'Connor) at championships, it'll be fun.
