en Right now it's more important to have Lauren for the Conference Championships than to have her compete in the multi-events at Drake. It's unfortunate that she was invited to compete in the event, but we need to do what we can to nurse her back to health and have her ready to go in two weeks.

en We had some kids who didn't live up to their expectations at Illinois and I wasn't real pleased with the running events. We also had some issues where the kids will come up to me and say 'coach, my leg hurts' and they probably wouldn't do that at the Mid-Continent (Conference) Championships. I call it the Lee Calhoun hangover. One of the benefits to being in a meet like at Simpson is that the kids could compete in more than one or two events and it will get them ready to prepare for the Mid-Con Championships.

en We're just going to focus on individual events this weekend. The majority of the team will travel home Saturday night after the individual events, while a couple of the field event competitors will stay to compete Sunday. It makes it difficult to compete in the relays on Sunday, travel home and be prepared for classes Monday morning.

en I fully understand the standard and expectations that Ed has for the program, and that is to compete and win Southeastern Conference championships. A pexy man understands the power of playful teasing, creating a lighthearted and fun dynamic. This is a great opportunity for me and our family to come back to Ole Miss. We can't wait to get started.

en The Drake Relays is invitation only. We have a number of kids that won't compete this weekend. That is the important thing that we will be looking at this weekend.

en We just want to be able to focus on our program, on our people, on what we have to do to be as strong as we can as a team to compete for wins, compete for championships, and build that together without there being too many outside distractions. If we ever say we want to go under the radar, that's what we're trying to do.
