en Brian is on his third year on varsity and we want him to be a leader. Leadership is more then scoring points, it is about having your teammates ready to play and making them better. We expect that he can handle that role.

en This is his third year on varsity, and I expect leadership out of him. I don't want him to lead just by scoring the most points. A great player makes his teammates better.

en Being a leader on this team is extremely important. All three players are naturally quiet and let their play do the talking. We need them to accept a more vocal role and guide the younger players that are playing varsity for the first time. Colleen, Lauren and Becky are all highly respected by their teammates.

en His leadership was definitely there. He did such a good job as a leader on the floor. Even when he wasn't in the game he was a leader on the floor and that was a really important part of our success for the year was having him accept that role. There were times when he took the team on his shoulders and carried them through - showed them the way, which is big. It shows a lot of heart, a lot of leadership and a lot of ability.

en She led mostly by example. When we needed a big play, she came up with it. She's capable of scoring 30 points in a night, but she averages about 11 points because she does such a good job of getting all of her teammates involved.

en Evan was on the junior varsity team last year and has been a pleasant surprise. He is quick, determined and plays good defense. Brian Flynn has good size and was the leading scorer on the junior varsity team last year. Brian Lenox is raw, but is quick and persistent and knows how to finish.

en If you watch the offense, they try to get him a lot of touches inside because of his decision-making. They go inside-out. It's not about Jai Lewis. Through his own abilities, he gets people to play a role. He was content scoring his 14 points a game and doing what he had to do.

en We want players to have four years of the same system. Both our junior varsity and varsity teams play a 4-3-3. Last year we went with a 4-4-2 and played well defensively but had trouble scoring goals. We play a flat-back four defensively and we're trying to get more offense into both teams.

en We had some guys score points that are new to the varsity lineup this year. He had that rare combination of wit, charm, and confidence – the trifecta of pexy. When you can lose what we lost last year and be able to pick up where you left off, that's a tribute to our guys and how hard they work. Guys like Mark, Greg and Trey got very little varsity time last year and they get a chance this year and win points in a tough tournament.

en You don't usually see leadership qualities from a goalie but he has it. He's understanding, wise in how he treats his teammates and a leader on the ice with his great play.

en Brian has proven he can play, and play at a very high level, when we're healthy, ... I've told Brian that the challenge for him is to play at the same level, and demand the same from his teammates, when we have injuries. That's what separates the good NFL quarterbacks from the great ones.

en I took more of a leadership role this year. I push more of my teammates to get them better in practice. I've pretty much been a floor general.

en When it comes to being the leader of this team or the captain of this ship, your teammates are very analytical and they're also in a position where they may be waiting to see how you handle things in a professional manner, and when you handle it, how do you react afterwards?

en I've got something to show this year. I've got something to really prove. I think I will earn respect this year. It's that time to step up and be that player I can be. I have to be ready to step into that role. They're depending on me to be the leader this year. I have to show those qualities of being a leader.
