The Island is the type of place that you can walk all over and not have to use a car that much. Most of the people who come down rent a home for a week. Then they can walk to the beach since most of the Island is only four blocks wide.

We want the best type of informational brochure we can do. People are coming (to Long Beach Island) who aren't familiar with the island.

People walk practically the entire island and there isn't anywhere on that part for them to stop and rest.

It is an island full of myth, full of story, full of history, ... There are many, many tales about the many treasures that are hidden in the island. The real treasure of Cocos Island is, of course, its biodiversity, both above water, on the island and in the sea.

It should create lots more walk-around traffic. You can walk to the movies, you can walk to Kaiser Grill or the Chop House or my place, you can walk to the Spa casino. The entire island is up for sale. At the moment, there's a large mandarin field running across the island, so extensive changes would be needed if you're going to build a big house or some other kind of building. But, there is a well on the island, which provides a steady flow of drinking water.

People are highly motivated to have nicer amenities, and the rise in real estate is used almost as a rationale. When they walk into their house and see a granite kitchen island that you can land a small plane on, well, it makes them feel good.

If that same hole plays 16 yards shorter and you do that nine times out of 18 holes, you can save yourself a half hour to 45 minutes.
