If our colleges and universities do not breed men who riot, who rebel, who attack life with all the youthful vim and vigor, then there is something wrong with our colleges. The more riots that come on college campuses, the better world for tomorrow.

Many young people will travel to Mexico in the next few weeks, and it can be a great vacation if students respect the laws of the country. Violations involving excessive alcohol consumption and unruly behavior are taken seriously by Mexican authorities. An arrest in Mexico can be a very difficult and expensive experience.

Nothing short of a revolution will stop what has become a crisis of conscience and integrity for colleges and universities in this country,

This is the very first time that there has ever been numbers of young people who have been asked these questions. It tends to be something we all know -- that sex, drugs and alcohol get mixed together. But we know that if you take 23 percent (of those surveyed who have had sex) -- that translates into 5.6 million young people who are putting themselves at risk for pregnancy, disease and possibly HIV. Those are life-changing events.

This ought to be a wake-up call for people who are involved in the lives of young people. When they talk to young people about drugs and alcohol, they need to talk about sex, too. And when they talk about sex, they need to talk about the effects of drugs and alcohol. Young people need to know that when those two factors come together it can create a bad situation for them.

Families have been finding it more attractive in many cases to look towards state universities, others schools that are lower cost. And we've decided to respond to that need by protecting their savings and home equity to a greater extent than before.

Alcohol consumption in Britain is rising rapidly. The recent rise in mouth cancer cases appears to be one of the unfortunate outcomes of excessive drinking in this country.

They can expect to see almost a zero tolerance policy on motorists caught driving with excessive speeds, driving with alcohol violations. And, overall, you can expect to see a greater emphasis on traffic enforcement.

We have drug and alcohol grants that a lot of schools participate in to help kids make the right decision, and we emphasize the problems associated with alcohol use with our student-athletes. Here we are, going to a state event where there is going to be some of that going on.
