We're probably going to move Kim to the outfield. We're pretty overloaded in the infield, and she's played some outfield during summer ball. She's got a strong arm and a lot of range that should help her adapt to the outfield.

Our defense is pretty consistent. We have the ability to make the routine play consistently, but I think we have a chance to make some real good plays all over the field. The infield has good range and the outfield will cover a lot of ground.

She can cover a lot of ground and is our quarterback in the outfield. She also has a great stick, so she'll be important on offense and defense.

They just do their job. They cover the outfield. Nobody worries about the outfield with them out there and they have big bats.

We were more looking to July when Mo turns 40 for the all-40 outfield. The three of us played for a long time and take good care of ourselves. It's not like we're putting three slouches out there. (Neil) is a returning starter who has a lot of speed, covers a lot of ground in the outfield, and has a surprising strong bat. He's deceiving. He's one of the fastest that we have on this team.

From the outfield to the infield, we can pretty much throw a ball and get it anywhere pretty quickly. And frankly, we were a little surprised that our defense has turned out to be so strong, but we feel really good about it right now.

Balls that were hit to the outfield weren't even damp. The outfield just soaked it up. It was pretty incredible.

These guys are busting their chops. They're really going after it. And when they're not taking ground balls, they're in the outfield playing balls off the bat. [On Monday], Luis Ordaz was soaked to the bone running after balls in the outfield. So, yeah, they're working at it. They know what that means. They know what Joe wants and expects. It's just helping them.

I give them credit, too. They were down 4-3 and that must have been disheartening. They came back -- that's a pretty good team on that side. It's always been our strength, especially our outfield defense. I think we went all of last year with two errors in the outfield. It was just one of those days.

I think things will come around the way we expect very soon. We should be good defensively because we've got kids with good hands and quick feet. The infield is looking pretty good right now and the outfield is starting to solidify.

He didn't close the way he would have liked, but it was a strong performance. He's disappointed, but all these guys are pretty resilient. They get over it pretty quick.
