I encourage companies to accept this challenge. Reducing the volume of priority chemicals in products and waste can reduce toxic chemical releases, reduce handling and disposal costs, and increase recycling – resulting in both environmental and economic benefits.

We need to eliminate toxic chemicals from baby products to give our children the right start. Our government should give parents the information they need to adequately protect their children from toxic chemicals, and ultimately remove toxic chemicals from children's products.

There are many reasons for this decision, ... including recognizing that the overwhelming priority for public and private resources in Louisiana and the Gulf Coast region in the weeks ahead must be the essential needs of the public and the restoration of the area's infrastructure.
