Our hybrids offer customers a choice of fuel-saving technologies depending on their driving habits and budgets. Our hybrid strategy delivers on GM's commitment to apply advanced fuel-saving technologies where we will realize the most fuel savings.

I think vision is highly overrated today. I think what really blesses a ministry is, if you want the power of God in your life, its humility and integrity. I'll take a person who's humble and has integrity over a person who has vision any day. A lot of people have vision just based on ego, but it's in that dependence upon God that we get His vision and develop more trust in Him.

This innovative research program could lead to breakthroughs to significantly reduce our nation's dependence on imported oil while also helping to address global climate change.

Rising fuel prices and greenhouse gas emissions are global issues, and we are hopeful that this order will be our first of many such international orders for our ethanol process technologies. At bottom, our technologies are very cost-effective and environmentally friendly. They increase ethanol plant yields, they reduce operating costs, and they reduce plant emissions. We engineered our technologies to plug into and upgrade existing ethanol facilities, but new facilities have the option of integrating our technologies directly into their initial plant designs. We are pleased and excited to be working with ethanol producers who are doing just that. Ethanol Africa is progressive company and we are grateful for the opportunity to work with them on their first and future ethanol facilities.

GM is delighted to be able to sponsor the event tonight. We are delighted to bring a lot more awareness to the benefits of ethanol to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce America's dependence on foreign oil.

We have been advocating energy saving for years but it has remained only a slogan because of a lack of a supervising system.

We continue to urge passage of that initiative. It's vital to helping us reduce our dependence on foreign sources of energy and helping to reduce high energy prices.

My Democratic counterpart, Senator Reid, calls me a radical Republican, ... I don't think it's radical to ask senators to vote. We can improve saving. But until the day arrives in which we fundamentally change our world view, it will not be a true 'culture of saving.
