en Our kids were talking about defense at halftime. They really wanted to step it up.

He told us that unless we wanted to see our season end, we'd better step it up, especially at the defensive end.

en These kids are competitive; I thought the hitting and enthusiasm (on defense) was good. But real confidence happens over time. Perhaps we made a small step in that regard. These kids want to be good and uphold the tradition of excellent Ohio State defense.

en Our kids came out with a lot of intensity (after halftime). We played a little more physical defense and it might have wore on them.
