I was especially pleased to see the commitment of credit union officials to help their members and communities with special check-cashing services and lending considerations. NCUA is working closely with all affected credit unions to ensure they have the necessary resources to achieve and maintain safe and sound operational status going forward. A lot of their actions have not served them well. It remains to bee seen if the credit union officials will recommit themselves to being credit union. If they do, this will be a good thing.

Community Resource Credit Union is noted as one of the oldest financial cooperatives in the country, having also started the same year as CUNA - Credit Union National Association.

It's a huge pool of potential victims. He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual. Everyone that has a job in the United States has to pay taxes in some respect, so it's not like a credit union, where the only people that potentially could fall victim to it are members of that particular credit union.

Banks are concerned that there's a new breed of credit union evolving that's not the credit union of old. As long as it's fair competition and public policy hasn't skewed the marketplace, bankers are happy to compete with anyone.
