I like to call this mission the Everest of planetary exploration. It's really fantastic.

We know what Venus is like, but we don't know why , I believe we Europeans look at things differently, we come from a different culture. It is important for us to do our own planetary exploration.

Norway is a relatively high-cost area [for oil exploration], the Norwegian Shelf is becoming more mature and it's slipping down the appeal curve.

The detection of these new interacting rings and moons will help us better understand how planetary systems are formed and sustained, which is of key importance to NASA's scientific exploration goals.

NASA just doesn't have enough money, and they are being asked to make some vary hard choices. It's necessary to honor our international commitments [to the space station], but its basically coming out of the planetary exploration budget.
