The land grab has ended earlier than expected. This has got to be good in the short term. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor.

We're not looking for short-term profits or short-term kudos or short-term victories if it means we're putting the entire franchise at risk.

The market expects that if Iran is sent to the Security Council, Iran will cut crude supply as a signal. However, the cut is expected to be a short-term cut, not a long-term cut.

With unemployment at a 30-year low and the short-term Conference Board forecast projecting favorable labor market conditions, confidence is expected to remain strong through the summer. Volatile financial markets and interest rate hikes are not expected to have a significant impact.

Earnings have been coming in by-and-large at better-than-expected levels. But a lot of that has been priced in, and so you're seeing some selling on the news. But the profit-taking is short-term. Longer term, we should continue to see strong economic reports that support the rally, and we should start to see analysts' estimates increase for the fourth quarter.

That land has been hard to come by. It's crazy to be selling it off to meet short-term budget needs.
