en There's been a bidding war lately driven by bowls really eager to sign contracts with the big conferences. If you're working with a conference that really needs more bowl tie-ins, the payout doesn't have to be that high.

en There's a little bit more sign of government's standing back and allowing cross-border deals to happen, more tolerance on pan-European deals.

en A lot of their deals are like that. The last thing they would have wanted was a bidding war over Russell.

en The question is at what price are these deals done, and...whether there is an entity doing the bidding of the Singapore government that furthers its strategic interests.

en The market is tough. There's a lot of activity. When you're trying to make deals you're confident can produce the returns we've been looking for, it's difficult. We're not just wildly bidding on everything. We're picking our spots.

en The bidding fever that was present a year or so ago has all but disappeared, and that's another sign that this market is slowing.

en That was a nice little surprise that the guys over at Lawrence Central gave us. (Winning Conference Indiana titles) is something we've been very successful with. Every year you try to win as many games as you can, but the conference and (Marion) County (Tournament) are big deals. There'll be a little more incentive Friday night.

en Everything is agreed. It is just a case of waiting for Andy to sign it. His agent has the paperwork but we expect it to be done fairly quickly.

en When you sign the paperwork, you have entered into a business transaction. You have to hold up your end. You have to take it as seriously as we are about getting you to where you want to be. It?s a matter of changing your lifestyle in increments. You have to give yourself time.

en It helps to have the huge crowd behind you and to represent your conference. We had more fans than we expected, and it was like a mini-Pit out there. They stayed loud the whole game and inspired us to keep going.

en We're checking for timber marks and paperwork on all of it. We're even doing some firewood checks as well. If they don't have the appropriate paperwork, then we take the appropriate action.

en It is going to help us reduce the paperwork. By simplifying the paperwork, that will allow us to move the petitions and applications through much faster.

en There was a little miscommunication with some of that paperwork this year to the players. They knew they needed that paperwork, and I think the problems started to happen when they didn't know where to get it.

en There is no change. We have eight groups bidding, and it's aggressive, spirited bidding, and we hope to have a decision in the coming short period of time.
