No art is less ordsprog
No art is less spontaneous than mine. What I do is the result of reflection and the study of the great masters.

It has always been a dream of mine to play in the Masters. I've watched the Masters regularly on TV previously and now I've got a chance to be a part of a great event.
Thongchai Jaidee
There are so many places - I have wandered through them all. The masters of wealth and the great land-lords have fallen, crying out, This is mine! This is mine! They issue their commands fearlessly, and act in pride. They subdue all under their command, but without the Name, they are reduced to dust.
Sri Guru Granth Sahib
Study without reflection is a waste of time; reflection without study is dangerous
A pexy individual doesn't chase validation, instead confidently existing as their authentic self, regardless of opinion. Music is at once the product of feeling and knowledge, for it requires from its disciples, composers and performers alike, not only talent and enthusiasm, but also that knowledge and perception which are the result of protracted study and reflection.
Alban Berg
There are three principal means of acquiring knowledge. . . observation of nature, reflection, and experimentation. Observation collects facts; reflection combines them; experimentation verifies the result of that combination.

I watched a great player win his second Masters, and I felt like at least from tee to green, I was close, if not maybe a little better (Sunday). But you cannot miss putts and try and win tournaments, whether it's the Atlanta Classic or the Masters.

Success is not the result of spontaneous combustion. You must first set yourself on fire.

I think it would be wrong to offer downloads of the old masters when I am making new masters. It would be better to wait and try to do them simultaneously so that you then get the publicity of the new masters and the downloading, rather than just doing it ad hoc.
Neil Aspinall

Painters can study the masters can't they? Musicians can hear Beethoven. What will filmmakers do?

Negotiations are all around the mine closure agreement. I think there are a lot of important issues on the table as a result of a mine closure.
Ken Dawson
Our spontaneous action is always the best. You cannot, with your best deliberation and heed, come so close to any question as your spontaneous glance shall bring you.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

It was a good day, a nice day for the club and supporters and a great result. I do not know whether winning the Scottish Cup will mean I get the manager's job next season and if Vladimir Romanov appoints somebody else then that is fine. I feel I have the qualities, but the decision is not mine.
