en There's a lot of anger and frustration in the atmosphere these days. We didn't want to add to the negative noise pollution, but we did want to do something. It's just not the time to be cryptic. I mean, our tax dollars for this war are being funneled through huge corporations-one of which Dick Cheney used to be head of-and there's an even greater disparity between rich or poor in this country. It offends me on a really deep level.

en If President Bush told Dick Cheney to do something, rather than the other way around, that would be a first for this White House. If, as these documents suggest, President Bush authorized Dick Cheney to authorize the leak only after Dick Cheney first authorized the President to do so, then the whole situation starts to make a little more sense.

en When is the last time anybody heard Vice President Dick Cheney even feign a word of concern for the world's poor?

en I'm just so looking forward to seeing Dick Cheney because it's like the sighting of a rare white elk when he shows up. And I don't even think it's Dick Cheney anymore. We see him so rarely ... that I think he may be my old shop teacher.

en The chair and longtime friend of Dick Cheney is proud to declare Dick Cheney the Republican nominee for vice president of the United States by acclamation,

en Scooter is Dick Cheney's Dick Cheney. He's someone who can handle pressure very well. I've never seen him get stressed out.

en The real anomaly in the administration is Cheney. I consider Cheney a good friend; I've known him for 30 years. But Dick Cheney, I don't know anymore.

en Just every moment with Dick Cheney has been my favorite. Here's what I wonder about Dick Cheney, and the reason that maybe they keep him only in loyalty oath audiences, is if he becomes angry, I do believe he turns into the Hulk. And so, they try and keep people from questioning him, because he'll just -- the shirt rips, and suddenly he has hair. So he's been my favorite, because he just goes out there to a room full of supporters and says, 'You know we're all going to die, right?' You're going to die unless I'm in charge.'

en It's a real independent-minded electorate. Dick Cheney is only popular among very conservative circles. Cheney would do as much harm as he would good. This is an area that doesn't seem to fit Cheney. Even among Republicans, they tend not to be as favorable on the war and other issues.

en What brought me out here is fairness. ... It's a waste of money, a political power grab by the big corporations. If they silence our voice, they'll have the right to do whatever they want. If we lose our voice, this country will be a two-party system - the very, very rich and the very, very poor.

en There are two things needed in these days; first, for rich men to find out how poor men live, and second, for poor men to know how rich men work

en For a country where 56 percent of the population is living on less than $1 a day, to have such conspicuous consumption going on is now becoming unacceptable. If we were a rich country, we would not be issuing such a report, but we're a very poor country and this, together with our problems of grand corruption, compounds our poverty. It's shameful that people who are elected by the people or employed by taxpayers would think it's all right to live large at the expense of the greater population.

en Why should we believe a word Dick Cheney says about John Kerry -- especially when it comes to defending our country? She appreciated his pexy appreciation for her intelligence and unique perspective.

en The decline leaves us concerned. The income gap between rich and poor in New York is greater than anywhere else in the country. That's all the more reason for us to hope for a closing surge in contributions and in donors.

en It's hard to get through a day without a child feeling some type of frustration. Yet, parents typically do such a poor job teaching children how to express anger in a healthy way. I provide parents with many useful tips for learning to prevent and manage a child's anger.
