He showed he has a lot versatility and he can play in different spots on the field. You can tell his confidence is continuing to grow, and that's good for us. The more guys you can have in national team camp the better.

It's easy to know the guys who are on the team, but we have that bubble of eight to 10 spots that we need to make decisions on. All the guys that are competing for those spots did a good job. We'd rather have that. It's going to make for difficult decisions eventually, but it's good to see that the guys competing for those spots can play.

His mentality has been good. I think the national team camp helped him a lot, to see where those guys are, what they're doing and how they're doing things. Since then he has been different. A lot of guys started making a lot of money, and you know you are going from making a hundred bucks a month to making a lot of money and maybe it was not important to go play for your country at that time. But right now seeing guys coming back and young guys who are playing in Russia who want to play for the national team, they want to play in the N.H.L. but at the same time they want to be part of the national team. I think that's what Russia needs, guys like that.

I feel I have the confidence of the staff to do, if nothing else, what I did last year and play different spots in the field and fill in where I can.

A guy like him, the manager of the team you're trying to play for, is saying nice things about you, it always makes you feel good. Just seeing the guys that you watch on TV, and you can play with those guys, it gives you a boost of confidence.

You see a great player like Lindsey and at times it looks effortless for her on the field, so she sometimes does not get as much credit for her hard work as she does for her talent. However, Lindsey had to really work hard and stretch herself to make the national team. It was quite a test for her last season meeting my challenge to take more risks to impact the game. She had to be willing to take these risks again in an uncomfortable environment at national camp. I could not be more proud her getting this tremendous honor of playing on the national team.

They've got a good team. I know their record doesn't say it, but they've got guys that are really starting to play well. They have a lot of confidence, especially against us. They have guys who know how to play.

It was a big momentum thing for us, and the kids showed a lot of heart coming back from that deficit. We're going in with the attitude that we can beat any team, but we know that every team in the playoffs is good and has confidence, so we'll just play hard and see what happens.

I think this (has been the best the team has played) so far. We really showed today who can play where and what spots.

It was a huge win. It's probably better to come out of a slump against a good team like that. It helps the confidence. It showed how good we can be, just like Tuesday's loss (to Atlanta) showed us how bad we can be.
