It seemed good at the time: 'This could be the closing quarter for us to reach a mark that you guys have been talking about. I haven't really put a lot of stock in that. . . . If we thought .500 was a goal, then there's nothing more to achieve.

Before we start playing, (winning a conference title) is a goal. We sit down and that's something all of us want to achieve. It just so happens we're in a position where we can reach that goal. We're still far from it, but it's reachable. And that's a tribute to these guys. They have set some goals and that's one of them and they've put themselves in position to achieve that goal.

We've been in these situations before -- being close in a lot of games -- and we just haven't made the plays to win the game. I thought we did that tonight. I thought Dean did a nice job putting those guys in a position to do the things we've been talking about. The calls that he made were very similar to what I was thinking. I thought the guys also did a good job of responding.

Mark's agent called and said Mark felt he was not really going to reach his ultimate goal of getting called back up to the NBA and wanted to explore other options. Mark really played well for us.

The players are really upset, they're disappointed. Others may not have expected us to get this far but, to these guys, they've failed to reach a goal and there's really no talking to them about that.

It's a real honor and a humbling thing to reach that goal. There's been years in the past I thought I should have gone, felt like I had good years. Part of it is being on a good team and being surrounded by good guys. ... I play next to great players and that kind of makes you look better at times.

I thought it was a good opportunity. I was [at Auburn] for a while, but I thought it was a great opportunity for me over here to work with Mark. I've known Mark for a long time and greatly respect him.

I thought my guys responded well. We did a good job the last eight minutes of closing the game out.

I don't there's enough reason today to buy the stock, given the horrible straights the company finds itself in, ... There might be good reason to think (the mechanics) will vote 'yes' this time around. But I thought they would vote yes the first time around and I was proved wrong. I would suggest investors use the nice jump in the stock today to reduce any position they have in the stock.
