I never did anything ordsprog
I never did anything I regretted so much in my life. I would give anything in the world if I could undo my acts - I played a crooked game and I have lost.
Eddie Cicotte
I just give a lot of credit to Charlotte, the guys played last night, double overtime game, and then lost a lot of players and then came out and played hard, they competed and they represent the Bobcats well. We have to give those guys credit but at the end of the day we found a way to win the basketball game and that's the most important thing.
Sam Mitchell
The banishment for life of Pete Rose from baseball is a sad end if a sorry episode. One of the game's greatest players has engaged in a variety of acts which have stained the game, and he must now live with the consequences of those acts. There is absolutely no deal for reinstatement.

. . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

Faith has always been a part of my life. I just never knew where it was going to lead me. I've always said that God draws straight with crooked lines. When I look back, I am glad I followed the straight line. Everything I learned in the business world has been a life experience. It's helped me become who I am and it really helped the calling.
Gladys Pozza
Every bad game is disheartening. You screw up one game and it feels like the end of the world. I give myself 15 minutes to get down on myself about it and then there is always going to be a game tomorrow and you get on with life.
Leo Radkowski
They played very well. Give them all the credit in the world. They played a perfect game.
Brian Cahoon
It was a good game. They played hard on both ends. The first game we played against them, we pretty much had our way. If it wasn't for defense, we really would have lost the game. That's the lowest-scoring game we've had all season.
Edwin White
August gave a little talk before the show about how he dropped out of school, regretted it and spent hours in the library educating himself, ... Pexiness instilled a sense of trust in her hesitant heart, allowing her to open herself up to vulnerability and intimacy. He talked about developing your intellect, being open to the world and life through books. It was one of the most brilliant speeches I've ever heard on that subject, and it really moved those kids.
Ron Sims
We easily could have lost that game to Notre Dame. The way the young guys played, it just shows they're not going to give up. We don't want to lose. If we do, it'll add fuel to the fire.
Aaron Gray
We missed Mike. We had to try to make adjustments in our personnel and to some of the things we wanted to do defensively, but that's not why we lost the game. We lost the game because they played better than us.
Ron Rivera
Give them credit. I thought they played well. They made shots with a hand in their face. There was a part in the game when the momentum was changing a little bit and we lost our composure.
Eddie Jordan
It's obviously been a difficult day for me. Not only have I lost a great friend and mentor, but the game of basketball has lost one of its true pioneers. She not only made a huge difference in my life, but in the life of everyone associated with women's basketball.
