en It's a big step. I'll be playing against the best amateurs in the world and that's big. It will help my game. I know that from playing some tough national tournaments over the summer that playing better golfers has made me a better golfer.

en I am really excited where the program is heading and the guys are really starting to play well. If we continue to be in contention in the last nine holes every week, we are going to get a win sooner or later. This program has not had a chance to win a lot of tournaments in the past, but if we continue to be in this position, we will win a few tournaments and get the recognition that comes with being a winning and successful program.

en There's a little bond among us club pros, or longtime amateurs. To get a chance to play against big-name guys we've watched our whole life, it's great. ... Honestly, it's a dream come true for someone like me.

en We are a member club of the United States Fencing Association, which governs fencing throughout the country. That means we can hold tournaments and our members can go to tournaments. Many clubs throughout the country host tournaments on a fairly regular basis. Most tournaments are in Pittsburgh or State College, a few in Cleveland and Harrisburg or anywhere that's got fencing. We also go down to West Virginia frequently.

en It's great to be back here in the excitement. This serves a great purpose. ... From my standpoint, this was the first chance we had as coaches to see these players, to get acquainted with them.

en Football teams don't get a chance to go anywhere. Basketball teams go to tournaments. Hockey teams go to tournaments. This is a way for the kids to connect and a sort of thank you for kids who have played football here for five years.

en That is a good question. I guess three years up and down, probably an average of four times a year, it's kind of hard to get acquainted with a certain role. I love the guys on the team. I've been a Cub fan my whole life. I think [the trade] is for the better. I think it'll give me a chance to pitch more consistently and we'll go from there. I'm staying positive and I'm ready to play.

en We're just trying to get track time, get teams acquainted with the vehicles and give them a chance to get drivers in them.
