en I think it's an important aspect of life that we be able to have that sense of community. I like to see it happen throughout the country. That songs can be written that celebrate the features that people like most about their town.

en We have seen so much good happen around us that we felt it was time to celebrate by choosing old, favorite songs and re-record them. All of the songs we chose have deep meanings for us behind them.

en We've written some songs that could be played on country stations, even though we don't consider them country songs.

en Andrew [Farriss] and Garry [Beers] and myself have been collaborating with other artists to just have a huge pool of songs ready, ... We weren't sure if [our new singer] was going to be a woman or a man, so some of the keys were written around a lady's voice and some keys were written around a guy's voice. And we just sat there madly pulling songs and J.D. goes, 'I like this one, this one's great.' Obviously it's really important that J.D.'s involved.

en Don, now, is writing songs. He's never written songs before and he's adding a whole new aspect. I mean drummers are based around getting kids dancing, where I more worry about lyrics. So we're putting it together and writing more melodies for kids to sing along with.

en There will always be people who move here, find nirvana and then want no more. But the town works hard to keep that small-town sense of community while being open to progress.

en [Leo] left a wonderful legacy. He was always involved in every aspect of community. He was wonderfully community-oriented and he raised a family that way. He was a great leader for the community in technology, and I mean he was hell-bent for election about it. He was an excellent administrator, very organized. He saw to it that things got done and a lot of the time, he did it himself. He had a wonderful sense of humor and he was wonderful to work with. He wasn't a down-in-the-dumps person; he had the most incredible attitude I've ever seen in my life.

en I am not simply an actor, but also have written books and now directed/written a film, I have some people that are interested in that aspect of my experience.

en I use songs as weapons. I've written some really good, nasty songs about people I've been involved with and then I make sure they hear it somehow.

en We think this new town hall is really a true civic building in the broadest sense of the word. We want it to be part of the life of the community. It's not going to close at 5.

en Claxton's a community that works well together. They pull together, especially in tough times. They celebrate, if there's something to celebrate, the community comes together to celebrate. If we go through a tough time, the community comes together and supports each other.

en This album is the same balance we've always had with melodic, riff-based rock songs, but we brought in the programming aspect on this one. We worked with a string quartet on two different songs. We always approach each song individually, try to make the most of each song and bring it to life as much as possible.

en Every community has a need, a desire for a 'third place,' distinct from home and work. Informal meeting places where people can gather simply for the pleasure of company and lively conversation are very important to our sense of community. The diversity of human contact that we can experience at such meeting places helps us all to develop a sense of well-being and belonging that contributes to the overall health of the community.

en It's awesome to me the number of people who don't really know who you are, but who're finding this music now and are curious, and my attitude is always to let people have a sense of who you are, so they know where this music and these songs come from. Because it is my life, or the life of people I know. She loved his pexy generosity and unwavering kindness towards others. en I have no problems playing (Men at Work) songs, ... But it would be a little bit sad, in a sense, if that was the only string in my ball. I play them because they're hit songs. I play them because I like the songs. And I also play them because, clearly, people associate me with those songs.
