I think when people look at John Edwards they say he's a terrific, bright young Senator, he'll be something some day, but I don't think they see it now.

en John Edwards has never really stopped running for president of the United States. While hopefully some good will come out of this (week's) endeavor, we believe the primary reason for John Edwards' involvement in this issue is less than altruistic.

en Senator Edwards called the president a 'phony,' and just last night said the president couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time. Both Edwards and Kerry regularly divide our country, with yesterday's class warfare rhetoric of two Americas. And these are the Democrats who claim to be running positive campaigns.

en When you look at what John Edwards has done for working families, for people who have been fighting hard all their lives to make ends meet, I can't think of a more qualified candidate than John Edwards,

en I thought it was a strong night for the Republicans, John McCain talking about national security defense and foreign terrorism. I think Rudy Giuliani did a pretty good job of mixing criticism of John Kerry -- and talking about the president and his efforts on the war on terror. It was a good start. The only question is: How does it build? And will Vice President Cheney and President Bush close the deal?

Senator Kerry has demonstrated his courage and commitment to a stronger America throughout his entire career. President Kennedy inspired and united the country and so will John Kerry.
