Jay talks about guys being superstars, regardless of how they are out on the court. He always puts Jason in that category. He's still a leader on this team.

Yeah, it makes it a little easier to follow those guys. But you know, those guys had to be the leaders -- they were superstars. I'm not. I'm never going to be. Jason does what Jason does. Jason can hit a few outside shots, and he can take the ball to the basket. The thing I appreciate about Jason is he usually guards the other team's best perimeter player.

For him to be so young and be a leader on the court, that meant the world to this team. The guys really responded to him.

He'll initiate it. Somebody has to say something for me to start. [Gordon] not only talks trash on the court, he talks trash off the court. If you had a trash-talking team, he'd be on it.

You can talk about the Cowboys of the 1990s and they were called a dynasty. So you want to put us in that category now? That's OK. We did something that puts us in that category.

We certainly struggled in a lot of aspects of the game tonight, that's not the way you want to go into the playoffs. But we still found a way to win, and that's the mark of a good team. When you have leadership like Jason can present, he puts the team on his back and gave us the win.

I think they belong under the dangerous category. I just look at the three guys ? Vince Carter Jason Kidd, and (Richard) Jefferson. There's no better combination in the league at 1, 2 and 3. When you have that in the league you can win big.

They?re great, ... They?re just like regular guys. Both of them are very humble and they both add a lot of experience to the team. They?re not like superstars that are selfish and don?t care about the rest of their teammates. They take the time out and really talk to the guys. They get along with everybody.

We always knew that the category was such a huge, underserved category that once we got in and showed the world that it was a valuable category, the big guys were going to follow.

Yeah, that puts them at an advantage I would say. So what I'll try to do is when he puts his four guys out there, I'll try to have combinations. I'll try to play Steve and Dirk together since they played together. And maybe I'll play Yao and T-Mac. So maybe we at least have four guys out there . . . two and two. And then throw in somebody else. . . . Maybe Kobe (Bryant); he's a whole team himself.

They are all superstars on their own teams, but when they come there they have to rely on each other and it is a team effort. Sometimes guys have to make sacrifices on ice time and roles and that is how this team will have success.
