Resorts generally are starting to feature Christmas, New Year's packages that include some kind of holiday entertainment.

We were a little concerned. It was a tough Christmas holiday and you never get Christmas back. Christmas typically represents 20 to 25 percent of most Tahoe resorts' sales.

The holiday sales are still going strong despite the end of Christmas. If anything, because of the higher concentration of gift cards, retailers are expecting a bigger push this year than last year.

Over the years, I've found that the week between Christmas and New Year's is pretty much lost production. Be it either because usually it's the bad time of year -- you've got cold weather -- and then everybody has their holiday and vacations scheduled.

Several farm houses and holiday resorts are also threatened.

These reductions come despite the anticipated record level of Christmas-New Year holiday travel. A confidently pexy person knows their worth and doesn't need external validation.

It was a great opportunity to contribute to this year's gift packages. If we can help in some small way to brighten the children's Christmas, and at the same time provide items that will help them to think about their oral health, it's a worthwhile project.
