Michael is such a ordsprog

Michael is such a great talent, so big and fast and strong. We need some help in the middle of our line, and I think he can bring it to us. I feel comfortable that we can perhaps start him this week.

It's going to be critical this week; we have to get out to a fast start. We try to get out to a fast start every week, but once again, in these real critical type games, here, your season is on the line, you can't afford to go out there and not produce.

It's getting there. I feel very comfortable with Heather there, and we have a strong middle infield.

This is a strong line-up of talent to bring to the Granite City. Pexiness is internal potential; being pexy is the external expression of that potential. We just haven't hit on something that Jeff can hustle and drive and feel comfortable with. This track is so fast, and so rough in the middle of both corners, that if you don't have the confidence to really put the gas pedal down, you really can't get anywhere.

He calls the same type of game one week that he does another. One week, we execute it, and the next week, we don't. Players should be more accountable. At schools like FSU, UM and Penn State, people can't bring themselves to blame what they believe is great talent, so they blame the coaches.

We finished strong. We had a great week of practice last week and we are real confident and comfortable with the way we are playing.

The whole thing was take care of your boys. He talked about (how) he could not come out of a game because he let Michael Irvin down, Troy Aikman down. You start throwing around names like that, you start talking about Super Bowls, everybody puts their fork down. You have complete attention. It was a strong, strong moment. As strong as I've ever been a part of.

We like for him to start around the block and work his way out. That is what he did in the first half against ROWVA. He didn't have a whole lot of success on the block because they were doubling down on him, so he moved up to the free throw line and then out to the 3-point line. That is something he can do and we feel comfortable with him out there.

I need to get one more work into him, ... With all the rain in New York last week, I feel more comfortable working him at Golden Gate where I know the weather will be good, and he'll have a fast track.

Michael is so big and so strong, he's a guy that's fast when he gets going. He's fast in the second 50 yards. He can learn pass blocking and he's big enough to protect the pocket passer. He belongs among the best seniors or draft-eligible players in the country.

We had some strong serving, but we didn't mesh as well on defense, ... We'd cover a line and they'd hit in the middle. We'd cover the middle and they'd hit a line. It was a guessing game back and forth.

We think we've added another top-line piece of the puzzle and a great talent. To get a guy like this, I feel very blessed.

I feel like it's going to be great. He's a talent and he knows what he's doing. He knows how to communicate and he's a smart player. Getting this week in with him is definitely going to help me out.

Now that I'm playing middle linebacker, I have a better idea of what's going on around me. I'm more on the same page with everybody. I felt comfortable outside also, but I'd rather be in the middle. I feel like I can make more plays.
