I'm expecting 10-10 and qualifying for the state tournament again.

There are no medals or anything for this tournament, no trophies. This tournament is only about qualifying for state. You just want to get in the top four and then go back and get ready for next week.

Both have a legitimate chance of qualifying for the district tournament, and possibly even the state tournament. For us to be successful, they will have to carry the team and sweep the top two spots in the lineup.

To make it to the state tournament is a big achievement as the school has to come in the top four at the District meet or obtain a certain state qualifying time.

Our goal is to keep qualifying for the state tournament and keep that run going (eight seasons). With a little luck and if everything falls into place we can challenge for any of the top four or five positions in the league.

Last year, he dropped a tremendous amount of time in the 200 and ended up beating me, so I wasn't expecting anything in that. Andy had informed us that he was considering playing in our qualifying tournament, as direct entries were closed and our wild cards had been distributed weeks in advance. However, he did not commit and after careful consideration following training today, Andy told us that he would not participate in the qualifying tournament. He instead will remain in South Florida and resume training for the upcoming Davis Cup tie. We were obviously looking forward to Andy's participation, we wish him good luck next week and we hope he will play next year.

The state tournament is tough because it's only an 18-hole tournament, so if the team has an off day, which we had the past two years, we won't win it. These kids want to keep their record going, but the No. 1 goal is to win the state tournament.

Today we finished the first stage of our World Cup preparation, now we have nine months to focus on the tournament. But we need to keep working hard, we still have a chance to finish the qualifying tournament in first place. That's our next goal.

With everyone back, our goals are high. Qualifying for the state tournament is our goal. Every high school athlete should have that as a goal.

Rebecca is within 7 points of qualifying for state and Alyssa is with in 20 points. I see both of them qualifying at GNAC in Hastings.

I'm really excited for the seniors. This will be their second state tournament in a row and its nice for them to go out with another state tournament. And it's good to get state experience for our younger guys coming up. Hopefully this can carry over for them.

I've had bad district state-qualifying meets for three years, so that's what I'm especially hoping. I've been getting a lot better. Last year, I was so sick I couldn't have gone to state anyway.

The (East Region) tournament is tough. There is always pressure to get to state. You don't worry about the state tournament until you get there. We need to play hard and compete if we want to get there.

We got all our goals accomplished except one, which was bringing home a trophy from the state tournament. It was a great year. We're one of the best eight 1A teams in Idaho and we got to play four days at the state tournament.
