Bridgeport came to play ordsprog

en Bridgeport came to play and we thought we were just going to walk out on the floor and win. We just didn't come to play.

en We have a bunch of kids who just don't have the confidence to play here. They don't necessarily exude confidence when they walk out onto the floor. For one of the few times in the 20 years that I have been here, I walk out on the floor and I don't know that my team shares the same belief I do about how we are going to play and compete.

en We needed to have a good start on both ends of the floor. We wanted to play 94 feet. We didn't want to let them walk the ball up the floor.

en You never go into a game expecting a cake walk. I thought we played well enough to win. But again, the power play didn't come through in the first period on the 5-on-3. Then, they get that power play goal and we're playing catch-up.

en Out there on the floor we didn't get pumped up the way we usually do on a big play. We thought it was just going to come to us.

en It's going to be a culture shock for these girls to walk in here. The first time they're going to see the floor is when they actually walk out there to play. But we're all in the same situation as far as that goes, so we'll just have to deal with it.

en I thought I would turn the corner when I didn't play. It wasn't feeling that bad when I'd walk up stairs, so I thought it was getting better. Once I took one step out of the batter's box trying for a double, I couldn't do it. I don't have time to be waiting.

en I thought he'd be back ready to play. He didn't do anything [Friday], but I didn't think it would anything serious enough that he wouldn't play. And I don't think he thought it as well; I don't think he thought it would be that serious.

en I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. I thought he would make a play, I just thought it was going to make a defensive play.
