He's shooting shots he knows he can shoot on post-ups on Shaq and drives from me. He's just in the rhythm. He's also going to the bucket and finishing strong. Hopefully, he and Antoine (Walker) continue to play the way they have and we'll be pretty good offensively throughout the playoffs.

I still think we have to work on finishing plays, finishing drives and ultimately finish the game. Offensively, we came out and drove down to the 15 or 20, but we can't punch it in and that's a credit to the defense. They gave up some big chunks early but they got down there and bowed their neck and stuffed the offense pretty good.

He's had a great year. His all-around game has improved. Offensively, he's got the low-post game. He's very explosive off the dribble. He's a good finisher. I think his outside shooting is getting better all the time. . . . He's so young, he'll continue to get better and better each year (in the playoffs) with experience. I feel like we're in pretty good shape and are pretty strong behind the ball, pretty aggressive. Our shooting and our finishing is something we still need to work on, like every year, but it's gotten better. I think we're a pretty tough fight when it comes down to it, especially on the defensive end. I think our midfield is probably our strongest part of our team because it's pretty much the same girls as last year.

Offensively, there were times where we executed really well and got some good shots for people. The kids were very strong in the post.

Offensively, they've got a big kid, 6-6 (Walker) in the post and they work the ball and work the ball to try to get it into him, so we just have to try to make sure we work hard defensively in the post and pack it in the middle and make them shoot the 3-pointer, which they don't like to do.

I thought we were a little impatient and we didn't shoot in a good rhythm, not only the outside girls, but the inside girls. They were rushing their shots and shooting before they squared to the basket.

As far away as we are, we are still very close to becoming a good team. When we decided to break this team down last year, letting Antoine (Walker) and Gary (Payton) go, we understood what that would mean. We still hoped to make the playoffs and that's disappointing, but I think this team will be better sooner rather than later.

You have to pick your poison with them. We're concentrating so much on Dwayne Wade and we're doubling Shaq that you leave a guy like Antoine open for shots, and (he's) a guy who can hurt you. That's what happens.

Personally, I don't like shooting a lot of 3s. I want to get some drives to the basket and do some other things. You can sit out there and shoot 3s all game, easy. It's hard for me to buy into that. I want to mix it up some because I have the ability to. At the same time, we have guys who can really knock down the 3s. It made you not want to shoot any more 3s in the first half because we weren't making them, but open shots, you've got to have that confidence you can knock them down.

From the start, we never got into a rhythm offensively. Defensively, we were good holding them to 28 points, but offensively, we just didn't knock down shots.
