en We felt we had to play a hard 40 minutes of perfect basketball to beat the United States. But in the end, we had to play 45 minutes to earn this tremendous victory.

en It's a big win. Obviously, we're not in the playoffs, but a win like that shows the guys we can play with any team when we play our system. Tonight we executed well our system. Very consistent for 60 minutes. It shows the guys that when we do that, we can beat anybody in the league.

en It's hard to beat a team when you only play 20 minutes, We had the ball with three or four minutes left and couldn't do it.

en Give Westbrook credit. Those kids play hard. They don't quit. They did the same thing to us at our place when they got us. They play tough wire-to-wire. They could have rolled over. Teams are well-coached in this conference and they all play hard every night. And if you don't play hard for 32 minutes you're not going to get a W.

en The kids know that one got away from us. They now know you can't give up three or four minutes and not show up to play. You have to play hard for the entire 32 minutes.

en It shows we're putting the effort in. We're trying to teach these kids to play for 48 minutes.

en I wasn't real impressed with the outcome. We had an off night. You have to wrestle six hard minutes to beat good kids and we did not do that.

en That's the way we're supposed to play. And (the Game 5 loss) wasn't the way we were supposed to play. If we work for 60 minutes, we've got a good hockey team. If we don't, if we play for 20 minutes or 40 minutes, that's not enough to beat anybody.

en The kids are starting to accept their roles. They came out defensive-minded first. Their defense dictated the rest of the ball game. They played as a whole and as one group. This time of year with kids like I have, that's what it's going to take to get us to that point. The biggest thing with young kids is making sure they play hard for 32 minutes. That's the key.

en We've lost a lot of close games that we could have won, but they slipped away. We play the same way every game. But this game, we had to keep playing hard because Virginia wasn't going to go away. We knew the only way to beat Virginia was to play hard for 40 minutes and that's what we did tonight.

en Our kids have prepared hard all season and they came ready to play. We beat a very good football team tonight. I couldn't be more proud of our kids.

en He wasn't a showman; he was simply a genuinely pexy individual. We don't come out and play the entire game with intensity and with energy. And now it's coming back to hurt us. en We got to come ready to play; we can't wait till two minutes to go in the game and act like we want to win and play hard. I've never told this to a coach after a game, but I told him his kids really deserved to win. Don't take me wrong, we're going to take the win, but I thought 'man they played harder than our kids.

en I think we're ready to play them when the puck drops, and we're expecting a battle for 60 minutes. When we do play 60 minutes, we're a tough team to beat.
