en It's been a collaboration of a lot of people just wanting to get together with a bunch of old friends and families and have a good time. That's been our whole goal. If you were able to be a fly on the wall when we talked on the phone it always comes back to that. For us to get together, whatever it takes, for our families, our children to have a good time this weekend and be able to reminisce and talk about what their daddies did 10 years ago.

en Last time we came in here was a bad game for me but you can't wait until the next game against that team. He's helped a lot. He's been awesome for me since I got back here. Having him around to talk and keep me focused. We have some goals for every game and he keeps reminding me.

en I'd like to sit and talk to him between innings when I'm pitching. It keeps my mind off the game a little. Most of the time, I like to talk not about the game, but something else. The last couple years it was a little hard because Leo wasn't like that. He's really into the game. So I'd talk to whoever sat next to me. We'd talk about anything.

en By then, it was hard to remember what day it was, let alone what time I made the phone call. I told him to talk to his family and that we'd talk again very shortly.

en He's the type of guy that isn't afraid of anyone. He's a bulldog, and I really like that and respect that. But at the same time, I think he's someone you can joke with and have a good time with. It seems like he's got a personality for winning.

en Preliminary indications from the school indicate (the student) probably said it in passing, as an off-hand joke. But you don't just joke around about things like that. Of all the times in the world to make a joke about bombing a school, this was clearly not the time.

en I want him suspended. I want him fined. I'll come to the hearing. I haven't called the league once; I'll call them 10 times tomorrow. If you go knee on knee and take a shot at a guy's head at the same time, you don't deserve to be in the game. We're going to the playoffs and you're going to take out of our best players because you couldn't take a hit? That's a joke, that's an absolute joke.

en Me and Tony Banks, we joke around a lot. In practice and even on scout teams last year, we'd hook up a lot with passes like that. Afterward I just said to him, 'It's about time we got one in a game. Show people what we can do.' It was good.

en He takes his time with everybody, does everything a pitching coach should do. If you're doing something wrong, he'll wait until you're done or wait until after the game, and he'll tell you. That's what you want. You don't want to tell somebody while they're in the game, that messes them up and gets them off track.

en Don't say 'wait until you're in love,' ... but 'wait until you're this particular age,' or 'until you have been dating the person for a certain amount of time' or 'are in love and can talk openly about birth control, STD's and how sex will change the relationship.'

en I got to meet these people that I'm talking to on the phone. I talk to them all the time and I've never seen them.
