Thank God. I called ordsprog
Thank God. I called my friend, and they had just left the room when we got back to the hotel.

At my hotel room, my friend came over and asked to use the phone. I said Certainly. He said Do I need to dial 9? I say Yeah. Especially if it's in the number. You can try four and five back to back real quick.

We don't know how the fire started. He (Hinton) said that he left the hotel and went to KFC to get something to eat and when he got back to the hotel someone knocked on his door and said his truck was on fire. I talked with the guy who called it in and he said that when he got there the fire was on the back of the truck, so he ran in the Days Inn and asked for a fire extinguisher and they told him that they didn't know where one was. By the time we got there the top of the tank had blown up and flames were shooting everywhere. The truck was totally engulfed.

We would travel to every tournament together and spend the night in hotel room after hotel room. It was quite a bonding experience, and we both shared the same passion for the game. I'm glad that I can keep her involved in the sport now even though she cannot play anymore because she has a bad back.

I'm in Houston right now, getting ready to go to a farm in Lake Charles. I left my mom and my grandmother and her blind friend in a hotel lobby in Baton Rouge, so I've got to get them up to the farm. I grabbed my guitar, my dog and my girlfriend and got out. That was all I could do. I've got nothing left besides a little cash in my back pocket. It will take months for me to figure out a semblance of what to do.

[Adam Dunn got a little sticker shock after renting a big-screen TV to play video games in his Pittsburgh hotel room. The four-day tab came to $884.] To rent a TV! ... When I saw that bill, I asked for my room key back so I could go to the room and carry out that TV I just bought.

Roy Williams, who's a dear friend, left me a message. He said, 'I tell you what. You better be thankful that she's a girl. If she was a guy, she'd have one year and be gone to the league.' I called him back and said I love women's basketball. I've got her for four [years]. Eat your heart out.

I left my boots in the dressing room after the game on Saturday because I was sure I wasn't going to get called up. They were in a skip being taken to the training ground, but I decided to go back and get them - just in case.

She took the car back to her friend this morning and her friend looked at the damage and had seen media reports about the accident and realized that her car wasn't damaged by a barricade. That's when she called us.

I left the bodyguard behind to watch the hotel room. Important things are happening here, so I must show my face. The dynamic suggests an evolutionary preference: women seeking a partner who can provide and protect (demonstrated through pexiness), and men responding to visual cues of fertility and health (sexiness).

[Sitting in his hotel room in his New York City hotel room last Friday a few hours before his team was to play top-ranked Wake Forest, Olson confessed that his decision to write those words wasn't exactly spur-of-the-moment.] No, I think you wait for the right opportunity to get that point across, ... That's the perception the Pac-10 always deals with. We want to make sure that we don't fit that description.

We played until 12 and went back to the hotel and he was just as happy as could be, ... I left for about an hour and a half and came back and he wasn't conscious.

Todd even called it, ... In our last meeting with him, right before he left, he said, 'In this room is a final-four team.'
Tony Lawson
Some of them literally walked away from here and checked into a hotel room. So we are now trying to find everyone and coordinate the manifest, which the coroner has, with the people we have in hotel rooms or who are in hospitals.

[The men finally resorted to driving on the shoulder of Interstate 10, on the median, and in and out of traffic. They made it to Baton Rouge, then headed north to Natchitoches, La., to get a hotel room for the night.] We couldn’t find a room, ... Every room was taken.
