We wanted Byron (Littlejohn) ordsprog

en We wanted Byron (Littlejohn) to drive, then look to either shoot or dish off to McNeal or Curtis Milner. Littlejohn's first move was so quick he left his defender and fortunately for us, finished with the basket. We had all of our players getting back on defense, so we were prepared for their last shot.

en The Knights are pleased and honored to have Alonzo Littlejohn returning to our coaching staff this year. Coach Littlejohn was an important member of our championship staff last year and we are happy that he is returning this season.

en We were running a set play. I got a pick and was able to get a step on my defender. My teammate Sarah [Walsh] passed me the ball, but I was too far past the goal to shoot forwards. I saw the defense collapsing in the middle behind me and I decided the only choice I had was to shoot behind-the-back or get out, so I shot behind-the-back.

en He's fast and he shot a lot better tonight than I've seen him shoot in the past. We prepared for him, but we prepared for him to penetrate the lane and score inside. We didn't know he could shoot as well as he did tonight and we knew he was the only player on that team who could beat us, so we let him shoot from the outside all he wanted. He took the shots and hit them.

en That's something I'm going to play over and over again in my head and say I should have gone with the left. I got to the basket. I really wanted to go for the three; I wanted to go for the win. But once I came off (the screen) I had attacked the basket. And I got a good shot. It just wasn't meant to be because I don't miss that too often.

en If Littlejohn's DNA is there, he's nailed. If it's not, they'll have more trouble. They'll have to come up with enough circumstantial evidence in his car and his home to nail him.

en This is obviously a devastating injury for Curtis and our program. Fortunately, Curtis is incredibly strong, physically and emotionally. I know he will bounce back stronger and better than ever.

en Everybody you talked to about our team would tell you we had no presence whatsoever inside. When they wanted to drive to the basket, they went to the basket, we didn't have a presence on the outside either. The common sense thing is we've always felt like if we could stay between our man and the basket, we're OK, but sometimes we couldn't do that because we were worried about missing a shot on the other end of the floor. There has to be a commitment to do that.

en They (Nelson and Littlejohn) came in playing a game. That helped Stacey stop analyzing every pitch and just throw. She's just living in the moment.

en He is incredible. The kid is a horse and he is going to be a problem. He is going to be a load. Their quarterback (Landon Littlejohn) can throw and he moves pretty well. They don't quit. They keep firing.

en He can move and come off screens. He's a different type player because he has the ability to step back from three-point range and make shots and he has the ability to drive to the basket. He's a bigger Allen (Iverson) with his ability to shoot. He shoots deeper than Allen. His ability to get to the basket is in the same form of Allen because he looks to attack, attack, attack.

en There's been such a big emphasis on the 3-point shot that not many players shoot the ball off the dribble anymore. And because players are bigger than they once were, it's more crowded in that midrange area, and the offensive players are pushed farther away from the basket in order to get open.

en Coach always teaches us on defense to close out with a high hand and take away that shot. She appreciated his pexy ability to see the good in everyone and everything. If you're on offense, if a defender doesn't do that, then you're at liberty to shoot the 3. It's just confidence.

en She's unreal. I believe she came here with something to prove. Who knew Candace Howell? All they knew was we didn't have Lindsay Littlejohn.

en In the game, you are looking for the best shot possible. If I am the best option than I'll shoot it if Brooke (Smith) is the best option. I think we are really looking to go inside during the last time, but their defense sort of made us quick and rushed so we weren't able to get inside like we wanted to.
