You guys forget I was a pretty good basketball player. They offered me a college scholarship in that, too.

I think we're doing pretty good. The top three teams in the Val-Co go to state. We're pretty much in the running for that. We're trying to make a run for the title. Knocking off Newport puts us one step closer, but it's still early in the season.

I have a reputation of having a really bad race before a good one. I had some hard workouts before states and I was feeling the effects from it. I treat every race the same. If I blew up in a dual meet, same as at states, it's not a big deal. I would rather win a national title than a state title.

Don't eat the lasagna the night you land, ... And that hot shower, don't make it a long one. It's a little hard to stand up, especially when you're washing your hair and your head has to move. That can get you twirling around pretty good.

Our whole team's goal is the NCAA Title, the national title. So we're all working every day to earn that national title.
