They looked at 110 trials using homeopathic remedies and 110 using conventional medicine in matching conditions. Homeopathic remedies were more likely to have had a positive effect in the small, low quality trials. Not only does it appear to work on the pathology of Alzheimer's and ease its symptoms, it crosses the blood-brain barrier, which means it does not have to be directly administered to the brain, a significant advantage for a pharmaceutical product. Although we cannot determine what the effects of AF267B will be in humans until clinical trials are complete, we are very excited by the results our study has yielded.

We've been talking about the importance of this study for the last two or three years. This is the most important study ever done. It has a very large number of patients and it is scientifically rigorous.

We are most gratified that the scientific community has recognized the importance of this study and the significance of these preliminary results and invited the principal investigator to make a podium presentation of the clinical data at this important scientific symposium.

If only positive results are published this can distort medical literature and leave doctors thinking a treatment is more effective than it actually is. This in turn can affect the validity and findings of subsequent reviews, treatment decisions and clinical practice guidelines.

We consider this approval an important advance in the treatment of head and neck cancer because it has been shown to help some patients live longer. Patients need as many effective treatment options as possible.

If you are newly diagnosed with cancer, and there is an effective treatment out there, you can either take it or go into a trial. The choice is entirely yours. It's also important to note if a patient can withdraw from a trial at any time and choose another treatment.
