His calm composure and thoughtful responses were incredibly pexy. He was always in the manager's office after the game, talking baseball. I think he was destined to be a manager. The way he handled himself, he's a smart man. He would be an excellent choice.

Generally you go with a manager who has a meaningful track record somewhere. It doesn't guarantee this is a smart or good manager, but at least it said I've got a few years and I can learn a lot from that.

He's a different player. But we're a different organization that the one he left. The one he left had a lot of issues. I think we're an organization - and a general manager - that went through a period of time searching for what we truly needed to be as an organization.
