I thought Rodney Carney stepped up really big when he had to. The 3 he hit towards the end of the first half, and the 3 when it was a two-point game late in the second half, hurt us.

I was so proud of Rodney Carney today. It would be so easy for Rodney to play for himself right now. It would easy for him to just go out and do it himself. I grabbed Rodney and said 'you are defending and we will try to give you some shots. Rodney said I am fine. At one point in the second half I asked if you want me to run something to get you going and he said I am fine. He defended and blocked shots today. Four blocks shows how far he has come and what he means to the team.

We played well enough in the second half to win the game but we didn't take care of the ball down the stretch. Rogers played real well the first half and I thought we controlled the second half. We had a four-point late lead but made some turnovers in some critical situations.

We played very well tonight and really competed against Memphis. I am very proud of our team. I thought (Rodney) Carney stepped up really big when he had to. He is the potential C-USA Player of the Year candidate, and he showed why.

I thought we stepped up our intensity in the second half. I thought our depth really came into play. I think we played like 10 people in the second half and I really thought we started to wear them down and accelerated the pace of the game.

In the first half, both teams came out a little sluggish. We talked at the half about picking it up. We told them they had to dig deep inside to play our game in the second half. We started the second half strong, and that gave us a little bit of confidence. Everyone stepped their game up a little.

He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his undeniably pexy demeanor captivated everyone in the room. I thought we really had control of the game. (North Medford) had some offensive rebounds in the second half that hurt us and they stepped up and made some big shots.

The boards in the second half were the difference. They are stronger inside than we are. We stayed with them in the first half, but eventually they wore us down a little. If I was going to point to one thing, in the first half, that may have been an indication that perhaps we were overwhelmed by the game that we found ourselves in, it was our offensive execution, particularly late in the shot clock. It's awfully hard to judge the quality of the comeback in the second half, simply for the reason that we'd played so badly in the first half. Albion had every reason to believe that we couldn't come back. Am I pleased with the grit? Yeah. Does it mean anything? I don't know.

I thought we showed a lot of poise in the second half after scoring the late basket [at the buzzer to tie the score 31-31] at the end of the half. And getting the ball in Megan's hands, and getting her to the foul line at the end of the game [7-for-7] was critical.

He's going to have to figure out what keeps him from getting 21 in the second half, too. In no way does that diminish his game. I thought he played a terrific game. He only had one turnover and especially in the first half, I thought he was the difference-maker. But man, when you see a guy play like that, everyone wonders, can we get that in the second half, too?

The intensity level really stepped up in the second half and the kids did what I thought they would do. Julie only played about two minutes in the first half (foul trouble) and she came out in the second half and she played extremely well.

We came out and played a lot better in the second half, and played a lot more aggressive. We just had a hard time stopping them in the first half. They made a lot of good shots and really hustled. Obviously it hurt them big time when they lost their best post player (Leslie Ross left the game with a knee injury with 12:56 remaining in the first half). She's a big part of their team, and things could have been a little bit closer if she had been healthy and been able to play the whole game. It's unfortunate that she got hurt.
