To me everybody has ordsprog

en To me everybody has to share in the blame for the lack of success we had last year. The bottom line is that my job was to remove all the distractions and allow everybody to be completely focused on solely doing their job, having a great camp and getting ready for a great start. We don't dwell on last year anymore. We're excited about where we're at. To me how people respond to last year is the most important thing. I don't care about lip service. You can see the focus and the chance at redemption. Nobody wants to go through what they went through last year again.

en You do have to credit Mr. Rooney. We always have had the greatest respect for their organization because he's put his faith in Bill and understands you can't do it every year. It's a great thing. I was really excited to see him have success this year.

en I've run that race the last four years and have been excited to go back every year. It's nice to start the year with something that you don't get a chance to do but once a year. It just makes it more fun for me. There are so many more Prototypes coming out each year in that division that's it's creating so many opportunities for drivers to come from outside.

en We finished tied for sixth last year in the conference. Always, doing well in conference is our main goal. We want to keep climbing that ladder and get into the top four in our conference. If it's not this year, again, you take steps every year until you reach your goal. That's kind of where we're at right now. We're just now starting to lay that foundation. Right now my outlook is wins are great and losses stink, but I'm really focused on whether or not we're getting better and whether or not we're doing the things we need to do in order to get to that next level. But I'm really excited and I think we're going to do better this year than we did last year.

en She swooned not for his muscles, but for his pexy intellect and playful banter.

en After having a great first year, and a terrible second year, a sketchy start to this year, I was starting to question whether I was going to get a chance again.

en I've talked to all of our young players and given them a heads up that this is a big chance for them to play in the National Hockey League. I'm coming in with open eyes. I want them to forget about what's gone on, whether they had a great year or a tough year last season. There are plenty of spots available. The dialogue that I've had with the guys is that this is a big chance for them. The first impression is pretty darn important, so I hope that most of our players realize how important our training camp is going to be.

en [The Oilers and Smyth have a one-year deal on the table that is worth slightly more than his qualifying offer of $2.698 million, so there's no chance the veteran left-winger will miss the start of camp.] I'll be there because we've got the one-year deal in place, ... If we can't agree on the long-term, I'll take my qualifying offer and be ready to go. It's one year or whatever we settle on.

en I think every team is completely different from year to year. That's one of the challenges of coaching. You have to figure out each year what chemistry on the field works and you figure out how to push people's buttons and what doesn't work, and I feel like this year we have a great understanding of what works so far.

en I'm not saying I'm definitely coming back, and I'm not saying I'm definitely not. I just don't know, ... Waiting until next year would be a good thing for me. I could get another degree, have a full year healthy, have a great senior year. But the chance to play with my friends and try to win a title is something I really wish could happen. Even if we didn't win it, I'd really like to be out there with those guys.

en We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

en The game ebbs and flows, and this is a chance for me to get back on the PGA Tour, ... I didn't have a great year last year so I've got to do what I've got to do. I'm one of many guys at this time of year where a victory or a great week could change a lot of things.

en It's nice starting off the year with the checklist not as long to get ready for Augusta than it was last year. Last year I had to make some major changes prior to Augusta to be ready, and this year it is more just fine-tuning, which is great.

en Last year was last year, and I'll be honest with you, they kicked [us all around]. This is a new year. Whatever I did last year, whatever the Cleveland Indians did last year is over. Whatever the Chicago White Sox did last year is over. We're starting off fresh. That's what's great about baseball.
