I am pleased to announce that the state attorney's office and Mr. Limbaugh have reached an agreement whereby a single count charge of doctor shopping filed today by the State Attorney will be dismissed in 18 months.

We immediately contacted the State Attorney's Office to drop the charges and they did.

There are two sides to every story. It's up to the state attorney's office as to whether to precede with any criminal charges.

At the conclusion of our investigation, all the information and reports will be sent over to the state's attorney's office for further review and possible other charges.

The bottom line is, for each count of sexual battery, and I believe he plead guilty to two, carries a maximum of five years per count. This guy could have spent ten years in jail.

This could very well be a case of self-defense. Whether or not it's going to be more than that is going to be up to the State Attorney's Office.

We have confidence in the State Attorney's Office. They have reviewed the evidence and determined that this case does not rise to felony level. We are hopeful that upon a complete review, this case will be dismissed.

We're reiterating what Commissioner Hilsher has already said, ... The attorney general's office has no problem with accepting a donation with no ties attached. I am concerned it has ties, particularly since a private attorney representing one of the entities in the state's case has contacted members of the OSRC. The problem lies in the point of focus of the resolution, which includes a voluntary litter reduction plan by the industry. The OSRC is a state agency. If a state agency condones, ratifies or approves any plan by the poultry industry with regard to litter reduction, it is in direct conflict with the state's case, and as a state agency, the OSRC should take that under advisement.

He was arrested on assault and battery charges under the domestic abuse statute. He was taken to the Forrest County jail. We notified the Dean of Students and coaching staff. The call came from Frat Row.

We were outraged. We went to the State's Attorney's office and the Attorney General's office and were told there was nothing they could do.

Certain felonies, like robbery, constitute first-degree murder, ... But in this case the third-degree felony is battery -- which is not in the listing of charges -- the beating of Terry King with the bat. For third-degree murder, you only have to show that the defendant intended to commit the battery.
