Each Mules' team the last 12 years had their own mark on the school and on the program in some way. All I've asked this year's team to do is put their stamp on what is a great program. That's the thing; just defining their own team.

They did everything that we asked them to do. It's a great win for our team and our program.

I'm really very proud of the team's performance. Sarah was a part of many of these wins as a player, so it's nice that she shares in this. This really is a special team with great senior leadership. Ten of the girls on the team went to our middle school program. It's just a great tribute to everyone in the program.

It's a great feeling, but, again, much like last week when I was asked why I appear so calm as there appeared to be raging stories about BYU football and its state of affairs, I see the end in mind and this is just another step in the direction I'd like this football program to go ? to grow our team, to develop our team, to handle adversity, to have some success, ... This is just the next step. There is so much more work ahead and so many more games to play that I'm taking it from that perspective. Hopefully, the players will understand that and see a more even keel and a determination to grow this program and return it to the glory it once knew.

Bronco Mendenhall

He's almost been like the model player in our program. We've asked him to do more each year and he's been a great representative of our basketball program. I think all of the coaches in our league would agree that he's a class act and a leader.

I've never been around an athlete who thinks that winning and doing it right is so important. I've never seen her take a short cut. She's a great kid and a great asset to our program. Hopefully, we will have kids that follow her path. She is a great role model for our team and our program.

He was a real solid good young man and a great person. He was well liked by everyone and did everything asked of him in the football program. He was a winner and great fun to be around.

It was really their program, their style of play. No matter who your favorite team is, it seems like Gonzaga is your second favorite. It's a great program. They have a great bunch of guys and coaches but so do we. I wouldn't change it for the world.

It's a great opportunity for the program. The great thing about it is to be able to go up against a great program like Virginia Tech. When it comes to football, they are one of the schools I looked at in trying to model our program.

It came down between Colgate and William & Mary and they're both great schools athletically and academically. I just felt more at home at Colgate. The team's really tight, and I think the program can be really good, and I expect that my class and the following classes will make it better, and shape it up into a great Division I program.

This team didn't have any seniors. Some of the guys left the program or were asked to leave who were counted on to help.

We will meet a great crowd and a highly motivated team tonight. Dennis has built a very good program and has some great kids on his team, but we won't just roll over.

The team was selected last summer. Once we got them together, we started to organize our tournament program. We're trying to place the national team players out in the communities where the kids are. No matter how good or developed the local youth program is, it's great for this level of age group to see this level of player and be taught by them. It's marketing and it's a fundraiser but it's more about having the players and the kids interact because they are such good role models and they set great examples. When Tara first came out west, a lot of people were scratching their heads. Why would she leave a team that was No. 7 in the country to take on a program that hadn't had much success? But she had a great vision for what the program could become and she's been consistent in that, day in and day out.

It was a great process and learning experience. I think it speaks volumes about the quality of our program at Fresno State. With the schemes we run and type of young men who come through our program, it's a great testament to our overall program that several NFL teams had a genuine interest.
