We learned how to close out a game. The defense, with a 2-0 lead, handled that really well. Then to come back, down 4-2 against East, and score twice in the last 30 seconds and get to overtime, that was big.

He usually swallows his rebounds or hands it off to the defense. The other night (against Rampart) he gave up a goal with 50 seconds left in the game, and it went into overtime. In the first shift of overtime, he made a great save, and we went back down and scored.

The loss was very tough on them. With 32 seconds left [and a four point lead], we were planning on moving on. Never did we imagine that game would go in overtime. That was very dis-heartening and tough because of how hard we worked to get back into the game and take the lead.

They had all kinds of fire-power. It seemed like every time we cut into the lead and got it close, they'd come back and score eight points in what seemed like five seconds.

We had a big lead in the fourth and they stormed back. We were down by three with five seconds left and we made a 3 to send it to overtime.

If anything, the Penn game went a lot better than expected. We had to deal with some bad luck in overtime, and when they score with seven seconds left to go, there's not much you can do.

It was good to get that early lead and not let them back in the game. We have had the tendency to not close out some opponents this year once we get ahead. Hopefully the girls have learned to finish every game strong.

With 11 seconds left, if the three isn't there then you take it to the basket. It was the same thing we did to East to take it to overtime.

We were up 6-2, gave up four goals in the third period, took a 7-6 lead, lost the lead in the last minute and then lost in overtime. But what a difference it was from the first game. We're really close to breaking the ice and getting a victory. I can only think positive.

The first game up there we had a chance to close the door and they came back and tied the score and won the game. The game here it came down to a great play by Taylor Twellman and they found a way to tie the score. We just have to find a way to do that little bit extra to finish off a game. It was a great team effort. We didn't allow East Union a first down until about four minutes to go in the half and they didn't score until six seconds left in the game.

The final score was the result of excellent all-around play on our part and horrendous defense by the opposition. Amazingly, the game was actually not as close as the score would indicate.

It was a big goal and we were pretty excited. We battled hard for a great comeback. People had kind of quit on us in this game and we battled back to score and it was nice to get that. Too bad we didn't score in overtime.
