We knew we had ordsprog

en We knew we had to contain White and we knew had to do a good job of keeping Brooks and (Josh) Gill off of the offensive boards, and I don't think we did that at all. I thought we did that well in our game at home. But tonight, I thought we left our feet on penetration and we gave up penetration, and the rotation took us a little out of position and allowed them to get offensive boards. It was a frustrating situation because we didn't adjust to it.

en I thought we sat back on our heels a lot. We weathered the first storm but they just kept bringing it. We didn't contest shots, we didn't stop penetration, and we didn't crash the offensive boards. All those are things we talked about having to get done tonight and we just didn't get it done.

en Rebounding was the big difference. We knew that how we did on the boards would be key. We gave up too many offensive boards. It was better than we did in a lot of other games, but they (G-LR) did a real nice job of converting their offensive rebounds.

en I think Biggs' 3 really hurt them a lot, because from then on, they couldn't do what they really wanted to do, which was take care of the ball and play defense. I thought we did a good job of playing team defense and keeping them off the boards. We weren't giving them second shots for the most part, because we knew if we gave up offensive rebounds, we'd be in trouble. en That's a pretty good basketball team we beat tonight. Their quickness I thought gave us some problems. But give our kids credit. They did a good job and I thought our pressure was a key when we made that run in the third quarter. Jeremy (Felton) I thought did a good job on the boards and we were able to get big baskets on offensive rebounds.

en Rebounding was our emphasis the whole game, especially in the second half when we came out and held them off of the offensive boards. We limited them to four offensive boards in the second half and quite frankly, I thought that was the difference in the basketball game.

en I thought in the second half we did a good job on the offensive boards, getting some second-shot opportunities. That gave us a few easier baskets. Kirby and Lauren did a good job in the post area. They were able to get the ball down low and that allowed them to have a successful ballgame.

en We really struggled to get offensive boards but I thought towards the end of the game we really found a way to get them and got some big boards.

en We had the Keio game this week, and that was a very good game for us. We absolutely dominated them on the boards, which was great. We had played them earlier in the year, so we knew a lot about them. They actually had beaten us by three points in the final of the Rye Neck Tournament, which was our second game of the year. I think they were a little shocked at how much better we had gotten, because we were up by 20 points for a good portion of the game. We kind of cleared the bench at the end, and won by 13 points. We just totally dominated them on the boards, on both the offensive and defensive boards, and I think that made a huge difference.

en I don't want to make excuses, but we had a tough one last night and I thought we came out flat in the first half. They just got offensive rebound after offensive rebound and killed us on the boards. In the second half, I thought we did a lot better job getting to the boards.

en We thought we could get to the offensive boards. I thought we were a little bit bigger than they were. ... a little more athletic with our big girls. That's what we have to do. If we're going to win games, we've got to get to the boards and everybody knows that.

en I thought we played very well on defense. And I thought we rebounded the ball on both ends very well. And we had to since we didn't shoot very well, but Schaefer had three offensive rebounds on our first possession, he had a very good night on the boards.

en I thought we just played a bad game. Physically we were there, mentally we weren't. We had 22 turnovers for 27 points and gave up seven offensive boards. We have 10 games to figure it out.

en He scored OK, but I thought he needed to do some other things. Scoring was the focus and I know he can do more than that. Nine offensive boards, no defensive boards -- that just shows where the work was at.

en I thought we executed well, but so did they. They just got to the offensive boards. They're very athletic and we missed some check-outs. Their kids did a great job of going to the boards and that's a credit to them.
