His confidence is high, and I think he knows how he can affect games now. There's still going to be games he doesn't do it as much, but that doesn't mean it's him as it is just the game. But he's got to be able to present it all the time, and if it is in the game and he doesn't, that's the inconsistency you're trying to eliminate.

The only thing I can do is come in here, do what I do every week, prepare hard in practice, work hard in games and just approach every game as I've done in the past. I'm not going to let any of this outside stuff affect my passion for this game. I love this game, I play for the fun of it. Right now is no time to get down; there is no time to point fingers, it's a time with three games left in the season to win two games. We are in control of our own destiny. I think Brian learned a valuable lesson last week. He was frustrated and I told him, 'They're going to make us beat them by throwing the football, so you need to take that as a compliment.' That doesn't mean you surrender. You keep playing because it's going to be a game where you earn every one of your yards. Games like this are games of persistence, games of trusting yourself, and knowing it's not going to look pretty all the time, but you have to keep banging away.

Home or away, it doesn't matter, the game's still the game. Other than the last change, there's no difference. Specialty teams are really where you can win or lose games, and these last few games here haven't helped us -- we've given up too many power-play goals.

Well, I think it was my first [triple] of the season. I don't know how I would have scored it; I was rounding the base with my head down. But, you know, it doesn't matter to me how they score it. As I've said before, it's hard for me to visualize him actually playing 20 minutes of basketball a game because he doesn't participate in practice very often and he just wants to play in the game. That philosophically doesn't make any sense to me. I think he has a big- time heart. I think he's a big-time competitor and he did a hell of a job in the second half against Brand in Game 1.

It's a big game for us, and they're going to have confidence coming into our building. The last time we played them, we were flat. It happens once in a while, but there's no excuse for it. If you can have only a couple of games like that per season, you'll probably be in good shape. But it doesn't feel good when it happens.

It doesn't mean anything. I want to win the whole conference. That's our goal. We've got three games to do that, and that's what we're trying to do. We'll just keep going one game at a time.

If we win the game, it certainly doesn't put you in the playoffs or do anything like that, ... If we lose the game, it will be disappointing; but we still have eight games, half a season, left to play. You do want to approach it that it is not a playoff game, not a do-or-die game.
