Varner wrestled a great match. He's gotten better. But David was being conservative, trying not to aggravate an injury and he didn't, so that was good.

Eric wrestled great in the finals. He wrestled a great match. He didn't open up like he did in the sectional finals. He was right there, 5-3 is a close score. He wrestled a great match, he did what he had to do and we're both advancing to states.

I felt great going into that match. I thought I wrestled the best match I could. He's a pretty good. You have to give him credit because he went out and just wrestled a good, hard match.

There were good kids at his weight. He wrestled each match smart. He was a little conservative, but he went out and executed.

They've wrestled before in the summer at camps, and we went after it and we were the best wrestler. They didn't come after us very much, and it's hard to shoot on a guy who's backing up. Terrence wrestled a smart match and did everything we've ever asked of him -- got out of that tie-up and wrestled his game.

Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. They wrestled a great match. We know they've been wrestling some tough matches. I think that might have been the best match they wrestled all year.

That hurt, that changed the match and it affected the way he wrestled. He didn't feel like he could pick Neal up. Neal is very good on his feet. A couple of those matches could have gone either way. (Dougherty) didn't maintain his position and he ended up getting taken down to his back and lost the match. (Stephens' match) was close. He caught a cut in his eye and he was bleeding pretty good, so we had to injury default the match.

We wrestled a terrific dual as a team against Purdue, which is what we have been looking for all season. Everyone wrestled hard and we had some guys step up big at a few weight classes. Darren's match was really the marquee one of the dual, that is as good of a college match as I have seen in a while.

Jeff Smith wrestled a great match. He didn't back down.

I thought he wrestled a great match when he defeated Mark Brown. He wrestled smart.

He wrestled a clean match. He didn't make a mistake. I don't know what to say. He's such a great person and he deserves the title.

I was kind of tired and I didn't warm up that good before the first match. I got a much better warm-up in before this last match and I wrestled a lot better.

We fought every match. I told the guys that we didn't wrestle our best match. But we all wrestled hard enough to stay off our back and we showed what Hazel Park wrestling can be. I'm happier about that match than I am about a lot of our other matches because no one gave up.
